A Second Visit to Jawai: How to Do It Differently

Seen the leopards once? Here are ways to make a return trip feel fresh.

31 October 2026 · 2 min read

Jawai changes with the seasons, the light and your own focus. A second trip rarely repeats the first.

Change the season

If you came in winter, try the green monsoon or the hot, sightings-rich summer. See Jawai in summer and monsoon.

Change the focus

  • Go birding at the dam.
  • Join a photography drive.
  • Spend a day on a longer expedition.
  • Add stargazing and a village walk.

Stay longer and wander further

Add a third night, or pair Jawai with places you skipped, such as Kumbhalgarh or Mount Abu. See places near Jawai Bandh.

A simple plan for your return

  • Night one: an evening drive somewhere new, in a different direction from last time.
  • Day two: a long morning drive, then a slow afternoon.
  • Night two: stargazing, then another dawn drive.

Share what you saw before with the team, and we will aim for different rocks, waterholes and villages. Many returning guests say the second trip is when they finally notice the small things: birds, tracks and the way the light changes the hills.
